    Jan. 24, 2022 - Children Take the Lead in Our TPESF Jog-A-Thon!

    Feb. 16 is the date of our Jog-A-Thon, a fun event that gets our kids outside and earns pledges to support our beloved school programs! This year it will take place during the school day. Students will walk or run at staggered times so as not to mix stable groups.

    Please check your child's folder for a packet that contains website set-up instructions and a description of prizes your child(ren) can win for participating.

    This year’s goal is $25,000. We can do it together!

    Each week, students have a chance to win prizes as individual fundraisers and in classwide competitions. The class that raises the most funds wins a donut party!

    Every Friday leading up to the Jog-A-Thon, we will have a table outside of school at pick-up or drop-off where students can pick up their individual prizes. All classroom-won prizes will be distributed by the teachers in class. Anyone unable to pick up their individual prizes, no problem! Reach out directly to, and we will help.

    BECOME A CHAMPION! Please support the students’ efforts by helping them register and setting up their fundraising webpages, in addition to helping them seek out pledges from family and friends. All money raised goes directly towards programs not fully supported by the School District, including Visual and Performing Arts, Garden, Recess Sports Enrichment, class-size reduction, and so much more.

    We Need Volunteers!

    Be on the lookout for volunteer opportunities! We need volunteers onsite from each grade level that day to assist with the event. Please register as soon as possible as a volunteer so the school office has enough time to clear your application (download the form to apply here, and submit your application here). We need volunteers’ help to make this a success!

    Dec. 15, 2021 - Congratulations to Scarlett V. (3rd grade, Ms. White's classroom) for submitting the winning front cover design for this year’s TPES Yearbook! 

    We are amazed and grateful to receive so many beautiful drawings from our talented TPES students during our Yearbook Cover Contest. 

    In addition to Scarlett’s drawing on the front, there will be a collage of other submitted drawings on the back cover and inside the yearbook.  All drawings will be included in the yearbook. Try and find yours or your friends’!

    Special thanks to TPES parent and talented graphic designer, Cristina Epenesa, for her support in creating the final version of our school's yearbook covers (see below).

    Dec. 10, 2021 - Donations Welcome for the San Diego Food Drive

    This morning is the last chance to drop off your non-perishable food items! But you can still donate online until the end of the day!

    Let's help the San Diego Food Bank fight hunger! There are San Diego Food Bank bins at TPES (they are inside TPES campus, right next to the gates) to collect your generous donations. Click here to see a complete list of most needed items. 

    If you prefer to donate virtually, you can do it here!

    Monetary donations received by the San Diego Food Bank will be used to purchase food items to be given to those in need.

    Nov. 17, 2021 - 3rd, 4th & 5th grade students are invited to enter the Yearbook Cover Design Contest to design THIS YEAR'S YEARBOOK COVER!

    Two winners will be selected (one for the front cover and one for the back cover), but other designs or artwork may be included in the TPES 2021-2022 Yearbook.

    This is our FINAL week for the Annual Giving Campaign! OUR AGC GOAL IS $150,000 AND WE GOT HALFWAY IN 2 WEEKS!
