The TPES Foundation was created over 30 years ago to fill in the gaps left by the district, state, and federal budgets. Among the gaps filled by the Foundation include two full-time classroom teachers, school counselor, classroom supplies, Science in the Garden, Technology, Spanish Language, and weekly Art, Music/Theater/Dance, and PE classes. Along with the highest caliber teachers, your generosity is what makes our school exceptional.

The Annual Giving Campaign is our most important and cost-effective fundraiser of the year. This year, we are again running the campaign for only one month. Our goal for The Giving Tree Campaign is $170,000, so please give today!

We are asking for $100/month per child, but please know that every donation, of every size, is deeply appreciated.

For More information please go to our Giving Tree Page.

Don't miss the Torrey Pines Elementary School Foundation's biggest family event of the year!  Held on the TPES Blacktop (enter through gate from the teachers' parking lot, left of the school office), the block party is a great way to meet new friends, catch up with old friends, and watch your children have a blast dancing to the fun DJ music and entertainment. Enjoy a night off cooking with dinner and dessert provided!  There will also be a photo booth, face painting, and more!

Sunday September 23rd, from 3-6pm.  Tickets are ON SALE NOW.  Tickets are $12 per person (children 3 and under are free), but only until 9/12.  (After 9/12, tickets go up to $20 per person). Tickets will be available for collection at the registration desk on the day of the block party. Look out for the above flyer coming home with your children soon!

We also need VOLUNTEERS to make the block party a success.  Can you lend a cooler or a pop up canopy?  Can you help set up or clean up, or assist during the event?  The block party needs more than 50 volunteers, so if you can lend a hand, please sign up!

The Miles Ahead Running Club kicked off to a wonderful start this Tuesday September 5 at 8:05am. Joggers, runners, and walkers came to the black top and had a good time, while jump-starting their day with physical activity (and helping avoid morning drop-off traffic)! If you cannot run, you can still participate by stamping cards and handing out running club stickers and charms at the table.

    Quick Reminders

What: Running Club is a program funded by the TPES Foundation, which provides an opportunity for our students to run laps each morning.

When: 8:05 – 8:20am every morning, beginning Tuesday, Sept. 4th

    Where: Out on the Blacktop

How it works: Each student has a running club card prepared for them at the start of each year. These cards are sorted by grade level/teacher, and can be found in the hallway next to the restrooms by the blacktop. For each lap that a student runs, they receive a stamp on their card. Once they run enough laps to total 5 miles, they receive a special sticker. After 10 miles, they receive a sticker and a charm. Special awards are given at the end of the year to students who reach a high number of miles, but running club is really for everyone to enjoy, no matter how many laps you run – you set your own pace! Parents/siblings are invited to run along with their students.

Rain Policy: If the blacktop is wet but no rain is falling, students may walk laps. If it is actively raining, Running Club will be cancelled
